Over the four weeks you will learn simple folding and sewing techniques to create beautiful personal books for further creative projects, poetry, sketchbook etc, or as objects in their own right. All basic materials and equipment are provided but you may want to bring any papers or card that you would like to incorporate into your books. You will make lots of basic templates that will equip you with the knowledge and future reference point for an unlimited variety projects.

The workshop is a relaxed, warm, friendly, supportive environment. You will work at your own pace and in later weeks, we will be guided by students choices of project.

We have a kitchen area where you are welcome to make teas and coffees when you wish. We usually stop for a refreshments break to preview the next steps. All refreshments provided, but do feel free to bring your own too.

This is a four week course, taking a break for half term. If you are interested in making content for your books too, do look at our creative writing events happening on Saturdays through out Jan and Feb.

We are a space for women and girls only, where you can learn new skills, be inspired and encouraged to express your creativity and enjoy yourself in the company of other women.
